Critical Decisions

Yesterday, me and one of my friend were discussing about some critical and funny cases happening in real life. Some of the case were really funny, I was surprised when he told me some surprised results of cases. Some cases gave me clear understanding about thinking from different perspective in some critical situations. It is worth to include some cases here, we discussed yesterday as those cases make me think seriously about it.

Critical decisions

One of them is,

suppose one boy and a professor of college got a dispute about some topic. Whatever the dispute is about, leave it. The main thing is a serious dispute. Professor is guilty and the boy is innocent. Suppose you are the only witness for all these consequences. Head of Department called you after a serious discussion with both the boy and professor. Before that you were threatened by the professor that if you won't be in his favor, he might create serious problem for his study. Because HOD is going to be retired. The professor may be the future HOD. And if you will favor him, you may get good back support for your study. Professor will also give you a favor. What might be your decision on this stage?

Will you insecure your life for a boy who may nothing for you. May he'll not be there, when your future will not be secure due to that professor who may be the HOD of future.

Or the other option you have is, favor the professor, and secure your future without looking at that boy's future who may get rusticated from college because of your lie. But you have the excuse that how can you help the boy on the risk of your career. Think about it.

Let we come to one more case,

suppose you are having fun with your car on a long drive. Your car is running on a highway, the lonely highway. In the dark of the night, the light of headlight lightens a guy. A guy who met an accident just. Fighting with death. Hanging between death and life. There is no one there to help you with this boy. What you will do in such situation. Again you have two options.

Will you help that guy and take to hospital? Because it may be too late for calling the ambulance. But what if the guy dies on the way? You may be proven guilty on this stage by local police, or relatives may blame you for the death of that guy. What will you do?

Second option? It is to leave that guy in such situation without helping him. You will then assume, you haven't seen anyone on the road. Can you? Should you?

Yes, answers are too much difficult in such cases. How to decide quickly in such situation when you don't have enough time to think.

In usual people go for the decision thinking of themselves. The people become selfish in such situation. Because they think, they don't have option. They can't risk own for some one else. But the inner values get damaged. You can't forget it and you won't forgive your self for it. If you choose to be good, there will be other options available, that it can be happen that you will succeed and you will get beneficial remarks for your humble and kind deeds. But if you choose to be selfish, there is only one option and probability of negative outcomes increases, like destroying career of the boy in 1st case and death of guy in 2nd case.

So what I think is, in such critical situations we should ask our heart rather than thinking from brain. Brain calculates profit and loss whereas heart gives true and quick decision in such situations. So if you avoid being late in such critical decisions, give the way to your heart to think. Straight follow the decision by heart, and done. I'm damn sure, you will feel proud of being yourself. After taking decisions you will have ambient time to think about other options for the safety of your own, once you save the person from his bad condition, he will never forget you, and he will support you.
